Gold Taste is a great sushi place--yes, the service is slow, but it's basically run by Tin all by himself. He really puts care into the product (the hand rolls are some of the best I've had, beating out several places in NYC). Tin is a really friendly guy, too, always recognizes me when I come in and recently gave me a coupon. I've brought several friends here and they have always enjoyed it. I highly recommend this place in a town very lacking in good asian food!
This is my favorite place to get sushi: it's cheap, fresh, and the dudes are super nice. It's not fancy so you can go by yourself and read without feeling like a dirty stepchild loser. Each roll or dinner you order comes with a salad. The seaweed salad is called, adorably, "seabreeze salad." Bestill my heart.
Small one-man shop serving Japanese-style cuisine. It's really a carryout type of place, even though it has booths. Best to call ahead because the chef prepares everything fresh and he's very methodical. No wait staff, as far as I can tell, so if you expect a full-on dining experience, you may be disappointed. The food is outstanding, and the chef is a very friendly fellow.
